Kinstellar and The Lawyer publish report on healthcare sector opportunities in CEE

September 2017 - The healthcare industry in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is quickly emerging as an attractive destination for domestic and international investors. Government and individual spending on healthcare is rising, and there are vast opportunities for consolidation.

These are the main conclusions of a research report written by Kinstellar in conjunction with The Lawyer Research Service focusing on the emerging investment opportunities and challenges of  the CEE healthcare sector.

The report is based on an online survey of over 100 investors, advisers and corporate executives conducted in July and August 2017. Around 95 per cent of respondents indicated that investment in healthcare in CEE is increasing, while 93 per cent see strong opportunities for international healthcare investors. Read the full report to learn more about what it is that makes the industry attractive to international investors and about some of the investment risks, as viewed by key players in the sector.

The report was presented at a VIP roundtable event in London and was moderated by Partners Anthony O’Connor, head of Kinstellar’s firm-wide private equity sector and Tomáš Čihula, head of the firm’s life sciences sector. Attendees included decision-makers at leading London-based law firms, private equity funds and investment banks active in the healthcare sector.
