Kinstellar Partner Roman Oleksik speaks at a conference on GDPR in Bratislava organised by renowned publishing house C. H. Beck
October 2018 – Roman Oleksik, Partner in Kinstellar’s Bratislava office, spoke at a conference on the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) organised by C. H. Beck, a renowned German publishing house of professional journals and books. The event, “GDPR: Personal Data Protection Today” took place in Bratislava on 3 October 2018 and featured presentations from professionals and discussions focusing on GDPR issues. Speakers included legal practitioners, IT & security specialists, university teachers as well as representatives of the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. Roman Oleksik spoke about Big Data from the competition law perspective.
The all-day event covered many interesting topics in both the presentations and in panel discussions with leading professionals, including the overlap of personal data protection into other areas, privacy by design, and procedural aspects of GDPR.
