Kristóf Ferenczi, Partner and Head of Kinstellar’s firm-wide Energy practice speaks at the Petrochemical & Refining Congress in Berlin
May 2018 – Kristóf Ferenczi, Partner and head of Kinstellar’s firm-wide energy sector, was a keynote speaker at this year’s “Petrochemical & Refining Congress” that took place in Berlin on 7–8 May 2018.
Kristóf participated as both a presenter and moderator for the “Refining and Petrochemicals Sector: Shaping the Future” session. During his keynote address, he gave an overview of the structuring of complex petrochemical projects from the legal perspective, together with relevant case studies. Areas covered included the key issues resulting from difficulties during the development phase of these type of projects, overall project coordination, and the associated risks related to construction and completion, interface and technology licensing, as well as the typical concerns of lenders. Following the address, Kristóf served as moderator of a panel discussion including representatives from MOL Group, TechnipFMC, Rosneft Deutschland GmbH, Saipem S.p.a. and Statoil.
PRC Europe 2018 is a renowned, annual international downstream oil and gas event attended each year by over 250 representatives from key sector players. The focus of this year’s edition was process safety, automation, OpEx, asset management and new regulations.
