IT Analyst – Romania

We are looking for a Local IT Analyst to join our team in Bucharest.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Education/qualification:

  • University degree;
  • ITIL Foundation certificate;
  • Proficiency in the English language.

Practical experience:

    • At least 2 years in IT (IT support);
    • Previous experience in a law firm is a plus;
    • Relevant technical qualification.

Basic IT knowledge in:

  • Windows 7-10, Mac OS X, WindowsServer (ActiveDirectory, DNS, DHCP);
  • MS Office;
  • Networking: TCP/IP, Ethernet/Fast Ethernet, routing, wireless LAN, VLAN, VPN;
  • Protocols: DHCP, DNS, LDAP, SNMP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP;
  • Security: antivirus, firewall, IPSec, LAN & WLAN security;
  • Knowledge of Android & IOS OS;
  • Knowledge of IT equipment – installation, maintenance and troubleshooting (laptops, PC printers, smartphones, audio-video and communication equipment);
  • Knowledge/understanding of IT ticketing systems;
  • Networking skills such as managing network switch/ firewall, etc.;
  • Excellent troubleshooting capability;
  • Previous successful customer service experience is considered an advantage.

Key responsibilities

IT tasks

  • Assisting users in making more effective use of desk-top systems, products and services, investigating complex problem situations to diagnose underlying causes and helping users to recover or continue operation;
  • Ensuring that documentation of supported components are available and accessible to all who need to use them;
  • Using judgement to set priority for resolution, monitor progress and apply escalation procedures for problems not progressing satisfactorily;
  • Proposing, discussing and evaluating potential solutions with the IT team and IT Manager and implementing agreed field modifications or workarounds as directed;
  • In consultation with users/customers, demonstrating all features, plans requirements, installing (including field modification) and commissioning desk-top systems, products and services and their upgrades;
  • Taking responsibility for the local procurement of the local IT equipment in line with the IT office strategy;
  • Managing the local area network, keeping the server room tidy;
  • Creating and maintaining the necessary documentation of the local network, equipment;
  • Assisting the office management with the mobile telephony questions;
  • Keeping contact with the 3rd party suppliers;
  • Ensuring all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures;
  • Monitoring progress of requests for support and ensuring users and other interested parties are kept informed. Taking corrective action to avoid or minimise delays;
  • In conjunction with the IT team, performing duties related to the office IT equipment, consumables and accessories (laptops, printers, desktops and monitors, pen drives, etc.);
  • In conjunction with the IT team, performing duties related to office IT network cabling and telephony.

Office equipment

  • Ensuring the operation of office equipment such as photocopier, fax machine, and printers;
  • Coordinating the servicing of equipment;
  • Operating fax mailbox;
  • Changing toners for faxes, printers, copy machines and placing orders for new ones;
  • Ensuring maintenance of office equipment in proper repair.
