Junior Associate, Employment & Labour Law – Ukraine
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Associate to join our Employment and Labour law team in Kyiv. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with skilled professionals and provide top-quality advice and consultation to our premium clients.
Our experienced labour law specialists advise a broad spectrum of clients on managing employment law aspects of their businesses to keep pace with social, economic and regulatory changes. We deliver practical assessments and advice to help companies manage labour law risks in their day-to-day opearations, as well as in relation to complex restructuring and M&A transactions.
Employment and Labor Law practice work includes compliance; employment agreements; executive employment contracts, transfers and mobility; profit-sharing schemes and incentive agreements; employee benefits; pensions; personal data protection and privacy issues; sensitive investigations; termination, collective redundancies; restructuring; immigration and military-related issues.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough legal research, identifying business risks, and providing effective solutions;
- Providing expert advice and consultation on employment and labour law matters;
- Preparing and drafting various legal documents as required;
- Crafting contracts, legal statements, and other documents across a range of clients and topics;
- Collaborating effectively as a team member, sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and providing regular updates to senior team members;
- Cultivating strong stakeholder relationships;
- Fulfilling other tasks as assigned by the company management.
Key skills and experience required:
- Law degree from a reputable university;
- Previous 2+ years of employment law practical experience gained either at an international or major domestic law firm;
- Strong academic background and work ethic;
- Full professional proficiency in Ukrainian and English;
- Excellent multitasking abilities and a track record of meeting strict deadlines;
- Punctuality and attention to detail;
- Exceptional time-management, prioritization, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to handle multiple legal matters within a demanding work environment;
- Can-do attitude, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity;
- Proactive and self-starter attitude;
- A team player with a passion for excellence.
