Finance Manager – Austria
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our Vienna office. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the finance function at the local level, working closely with senior management and providing financial direction to the business. You will play a key role in driving financial efficiency, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making.
As a Finance Manager, you will lead the finance team and oversee financial control, reporting, budgeting, taxation, and treasury functions. Your expertise will help align financial operations with the firm’s strategic objectives, fostering financial stability and growth. You will also collaborate with the centralised group finance team, ensuring seamless financial processes across all locations.

Responsibilities include:
- Financial management & leadership: Oversee the finance function, manage the local finance team, and liaise with office leadership and centralised group finance functions.
- Accounting, taxes & audit: Supervise monthly closing activities, review reconciliations, ensure compliance with local GAAP and IFRS, handle CIT and VAT returns, and liaise with tax advisors and auditors.
- Treasury & cash flow: Manage cash flow planning, coordinate with Global Treasury, and oversee salary payments.
- Financial reporting: Prepare reports for top management, analyse financial results, and generate key internal reports.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, performing variance analysis.
- Process improvement: Assess financial systems, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
Key skills and experience required:
- Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- English (advanced level), written and spoken;
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a related role;
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting principles, as well as basic knowledge of local tax legislation;
- Experience in managing financial teams and overseeing complex financial operations;
- Proven ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes;
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
