We are looking for Interns to join the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets service line in our Kyiv office

About the service line

Our Banking, Finance & Capital Markets service line provides comprehensive legal support on financing, investment, and regulatory matters. We advise leading Ukrainian and international clients on complex transactions, combining a deep understanding of local law with international best practices.


Key areas of expertise include:

  • Financing & lending transactions — drafting and negotiating various credit agreements, asset financing and structuring, asset transfers under different legal arrangements;
  • Secured transactions — mortgages, pledges over bank accounts, and other security arrangements;
  • Regulatory advice — currency control, payment regulations, compliance with contractual payment provisions;
  • Financial institutions & payment companies — establishment, registration, licensing;
  • M&A in the financial sector — acquisitions and sales of banks, financial institutions, and payment companies;
  • Capital markets — IPOs, bond issuances, and related transactions;
  • Energy sector financing — agreements, regulatory compliance, and market analysis.

Our clients include top-tier Ukrainian and international corporations, financial institutions, investment funds, banks, finance agencies, export credit agencies, and telecom companies.

Requirements:

  • Student of 4-6 grade or fresh graduate (preferably with a specialisation in financial or banking law);
  • Strong interest in banking, finance, and corporate law;
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of civil, commercial, and financial law of Ukraine;
  • English at B2 level or higher (ability to read and analyse legal texts and draft legal documents in English is an advantage);
  • Ability to handle large volumes of information, conduct legal research, and perform analysis;
  • High attention to detail, responsibility, and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Strong analytical thinking and clear written/oral communication skills;
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Will be an advantage:

  • Internship experience at law firms, banks, or financial institutions;
  • Basic knowledge of international financial transactions and capital markets;
  • Participation in moot court competitions, academic conferences, or publications in finance or corporate law.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research under Ukrainian and international law;
  • Prepare short analytical notes and summaries;
  • Verify references to legislation and quotations in documents;
  • Assist in drafting basic legal documents (letters, requests, standard contracts);
  • Translate documents and legal texts to/from English;
  • Update internal templates and databases;
  • Prepare client presentations and information materials;
  • Monitor banking and financial law updates;
  • Provide administrative support (scanning, organising files);
  • Participate in internal meetings and trainings.
