Luke Wochensky is a Partner and Head of the firm-wide Risk and Investigations Service Line.

Luke is a civil- and common-law qualified lawyer with an extensive track record in internal and government investigations, cross-border disputes, and providing commercially sensitive and practical counsel to clients operating in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Qualified to practice in New York and a US citizen, Luke has over 15 years of experience representing US and multinational corporations operating in Central & Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He regularly counsels clients in risk mitigation, compliance, and integrity issues, particularly those involving cross-border internal and government investigations. Additionally, he has led business, legal, and organizational audits involving financial and anti-money laundering compliance, as well as cases involving allegations of corruption and commercial bribery.

RECENT ENGAGEMENTS INCLUDE*

  • Conducted a FCPA-related investigation for a Fortune 200 company and represented the company in civil and criminal proceedings
  • Represented a Fortune 200 company in a comprehensive internal legal and organisational audit, including the implementation of compliance measures
  • Conducted testing of a sanctions compliance program for a European financial institution
  • Assisted a Fortune 200 company with a regulatory review, reporting, and a risk mitigation plan
  • Advised an LSE-listed company on a major, multi-jurisdictional bribery and corruption scheme
