Catalin Dinu is a Counsel in the Bucharest office specialising in real estate and renewable energy projects. He has more than 10 years of experience and leads several headline transactions for the Romanian office.

Catalin regularly leads teams of lawyers and directly assists international and domestic clients on due diligence, property and real estate M&A transactions, land development (permitting and construction), and asset management (leases, property management etc.). He has extensive experience across many asset classes, including industrial, retail, office, and agricultural. 

With a solid real estate background, Catalin has worked extensively and become one of the experts in the office in renewable energy projects, which are now commonplace in Romania. He regularly coordinates and assists high-profile energy companies on securing project land, development (permitting) of wind and solar farms, sale and purchase of renewables projects, co-developments and project management.

Real Estate

  • S IMMO AG, a leading Vienna-listed real estate investor and developer, on the acquisition of EXPO Business Park, a three-building office complex in Bucharest, Romania, from Portland Trust, and previously on the acquisition of two office buildings in the CAMPUS Complex (Campus 6.2 and Campus 6.3), from Skanska. Both transactions targeted class A buildings, being amongst the largest transactions in their respective years in Romania
  • CROMWELL PROPERTY GROUP, a global real estate investor and manager, on the sale of A1 Bucharest Park to CTP, a CEE logistics developer and owner
  • INDOTEK on asset management matters for two office buildings in Bucharest and a shopping centre in Targu Mures
  • INTER CARS on a lease agreement for new to be built-to-suit warehouse, with more than 32,000 sqm tailored to automotive parts and waste products, complex shelfing and storage system with multi-mezzanine
  • ONE OF THE LARGEST RETAIL FOOTWEAR COMPANIES IN CEE on retail lease agreements throughout Romania

  • EUROPEAN ENERGY, A LEADING DANISH MULTINATIONAL COMPANY FOCUSING ON GREEN ENERGY PROJECTS on the development and acquisition of multiple solar and wind projects in Romania, with a total planned capacity of more than 1,500 MW
