Barbara Kusak is a Partner in the Prague office focusing on M&A and private equity matters.

Barbara has more than 20 years of experience advising on complex national, cross-border and multijurisdictional M&A transactions (including real estate transactions) and has advised both strategic and financial investors on buy-side and sell-side transactions across various sectors, including financial services, manufacturing industries, automotive, healthcare, and consumer products.

She has gained extensive experience in leading and coordinating large international teams in the CEE region and beyond and has gained a reputation as a commercially minded and pragmatic deal maker.

• MAGNA AUTOMOTIVE EUROPE on its acquisition of the Czech OEM supplier Klein automotive
• BAUER MEDIA GROUP on the sale of its Czech and Slovak publishing business to Mafra; on the preceding acquisition of a leading Czech OCP company NetBrokers Holding (srovnejto.cz, epojisteni.cz); and on the sale of its Czech direct marketing business to Warsaw stock exchange listed company R22
• DAIMLER on its investment in ride-hailing operator Taxify (now Bolt) in a USD 175 million financing round (lead and coordination Estonia, CEE, France, Africa)
• ALLIANZ REAL ESTATE on the establishment of a joint venture with the publicly listed project developer VGP involving a real estate portfolio (existing and under development) in Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia
