Olena Kandya is a Senior Associate in the Kyiv office. She focuses on M&A & corporate law, corporate governance, as well as employment & labour law.

Olena advises foreign and Ukrainian clients on a wide variety of issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions, market entrance and expansion in Ukraine, commercial and regulatory, corporate governance matters. She assists with drafting transactional documents, commercial contracts, legal opinions, conducting legal due diligence, post-closing integration, as well as advising on employment & labour law matters.

• QTERMINALS, a Qatari port operator, on various labour law matters in the concession of the Black Sea Port of Olvia – the largest concession project ever awarded in Ukraine
• EBRD in the project to assist the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in the preparation of amendments to the legislation on corporate governance of state-owned enterprises
• EBRD on the establishment of risk management and compliance functions at Ukrposhta JSC, a national postal service provider, in the project of enhancing its corporate governance framework in line with international standards and best practices
• HELP – HILFE ZUR SELBSTHILFE on alternative forms of presence in Ukraine for the international NGO providing humanitarian assistance; full-scope support with the state registration of a charity foundation and accreditation of the representative office (Separated Subdivision) of the client in Ukraine; advisory work specific to the non-profit sector with regard to corporate, employment, regulatory and tax matters
• AN AMERICAN SPACECRAFT MANUFACTURER on corporate, employment, regulatory, compliance, tax and other matters related to the establishment of legal presence in Ukraine
