Volodymyr Zabudskyi is a Senior Associate in the Kyiv office. He focuses on compliance, risk and sensitive investigations, white-collar crime and dispute resolution.

Volodymyr has more than 11 years of legal practice. He specialises in risk and sensitive investigations, compliance, white-collar crime, protection of business, and resolution of disputes with public authorities.

Prior to joining Kinstellar, Volodymyr worked as an investigator at the Business Ombudsman Council, where he reviewed hundreds of complaints and conducted more than 420 investigations regarding business malpractice of public authorities, including law enforcement agencies. His background also includes working for Big-Four and Ukrainian law firms on a wide range of projects, mostly for multinational corporations (including Fortune 500 and FT 500 companies), large domestic businesses, and NGOs.

Volodymyr holds degrees in accounting and taxation as well as qualifications in fraud examination and forensic accounting, which enable him to deal with sophisticated financial and accounting matters and legal issues while conducting investigations and advising clients.

  • A UKRAINIAN SUBSIDIARY OF A MULTINATIONAL CONSUMER GOODS CORPORATION in a dispute with environmental authorities threatening shutdown of a plant due to alleged illicit air emissions
  • ONE OF THE LARGEST STATE-OWNED COMPANIES OF UKRAINE in pre-trial settlement of a 1 billion UAH dispute with state authorities regarding alleged understatement of financial results (Volodymyr was involved as Investigator at the Business Ombudsman Council.)
  • A PETROLEUM REFINING COMPANY in pre-trial settlement of a 3 billion UAH dispute with Ukrainian tax authorities (Volodymyr was involved as Investigator at the Business Ombudsman Council.)
  • A MULTINATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL CORPORATION in pre-trial settlement of a dispute with tax authorities regarding alleged permanent establishment in Ukraine (Volodymyr was involved as Investigator at the Business Ombudsman Council.)
