  • TAWAL, the leading integrated ICT infrastructure provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the Bulgarian (and Croatian) legal aspects of the USD 1.2 billion financing provided for the purposes of the acquisition of the tower assets of United Group
  • BLACK SEA TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT BANK on a complex EUR 75 million joint risk-sharing portfolio guarantee program together with the Bulgarian National Guarantee Fund (NGF) to facilitate SMEs access to finance from local commercial banks issuing a guarantee supplementing the collateral for investment and working capital loans granted to SMEs
  • LEMPRIERE WOOL, one of the largest manufacturing enterprises in Bulgaria, on a EUR 10 million financing by DSK Bank, including the establishment of security interests under a brand new and untested regime governing the perfection of such security interests
  • EUROPEAN INVESTMENT BANK on an irrevocable first demand guarantee agreement with United Bulgarian Bank, facilitating the provision of nearly EUR 150 million in working capital, investment and expansion loans for Bulgarian mid-cap companies

M&A and Corporate

  • YOUGOV, an international online research data and analytics technology group, on the acquisition of the European Consumer Panel Business of GfK, a German market research firm, for EUR 315 million
  • UNITED ENERGY GROUP, a high growth upstream energy company listed in Hong Kong, on the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Green Profit EOOD, a local renewable energy developer of two photovoltaic power plant projects with approximate total capacity of 250 MW
  • THREDUP, one of the world’s largest online fashion resale platforms, on the acquisition of its European peer Remix Global for approximately USD 28.5 million, including on an elaborate transaction structuring, repayment of the target’s mezzanine financing, as well as employment, litigation and corporate governance matters
