Patricia Backhausen is a Partner in the Vienna office and a member of the Corporate/M&A service line.

Patricia advises in cross-border and domestic M&A transactions, private equity transactions and venture capital financing rounds. She has special expertise in M&A projects in the digital industries and life sciences sector as well as in infrastructure projects (in particular, in the energy sector and matters involving the FTTH (Fibre-to-the-Home) expansion). Her work includes both advising on large-scale transactions as well as investments in innovative and high-growth businesses.

Patricia is also co-author of the legal column in one of Austria's largest newspapers (Kurier).

Patricia Backhausen is really excellent and responsive. I have a very good impression of her work and would call her again with any questions.

Working with Patricia Backhausen on a complicated cross-border carve-out transaction, I found that she was very trustworthy, always available and notable well-versed in all parts of the process, also in other legal areas outside classic M&A. Patricia quickly became the go-to person and was the primary driving force. Definitely one to watch out for and would highly recommend.
