February 2017 - Leaders in the Czech energy sector came together to discuss some of the main elements and deficiencies of a new regulation – and its impact on the energy market – at a seminar organised by our Prague office on Wednesday, 22 February 2017.
The seminar looked at current energy storage issues in light of the European Commission’s Energy Winter Package, issued at the end of 2016, and what the next steps should be relating to the new regulation. The event was attended by more than 60 representatives of major Czech energy sector stakeholders, including TSOs, DSOs, regulators, ministries of industry and trade and of environment, energy traders, banks and others.
Speakers included Kamil Blažek (Prague-based Partner who leads Kinstellar’s Czech Energy & Utilities practice and is the firm-wide head of the Infrastructure sector), Miroslav Németh (Of Counsel in the Bratislava office), as well as Energy practice associates from our Prague and Bratislava offices – Michal Forýtek, Suzana Hakobjan and Katarína Žemlová. As a guest speaker, we welcomed Mr Pavel Šolc, board member of DSO ČEZ Distribuce.
