April 2012 - Kinstellar co-hosts a seminar on Compliance, Risk and Sensitive Investigations with Ernst & Young at the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.
The event drew over 60 participants representing diverse business sectors, including FMCG, Energy, Real Estate, and Banking & Finance, among others. Those in attendance were decision makers in risk and compliance issues, including CEOs, CFOs, risk and compliance officers, and senior in-house counsel.
The seminar addressed topical issues relating to risk compliance and was followed by a lively Q&A session. Three Kinstellar lawyers made presentations at the event:
Gábor Antal (Managing Associate) spoke on international legislation, including the UK Bribery Act and relevant provisions of the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and their implications in Hungary.
Dávid Klacsmann (Associate) spoke on recent legislative changes regarding data protection and the monitoring of employees.
Éva Bognár (Counsel) spoke on the labour law aspects of internal investigations and the monitoring of employees, including recent amendments to the Hungarian Labour Code.
Other presenters at the event were: Ferenc Bíró, Executive Director, Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services and László Csomai, Senior Manager from Ernst and Young, and Krisztina Szegedi, President of the Ethics Committee, MOL (Hungarian Oil & Gas Company).
