October 2013 - Kamil Blažek, a partner in Kinstellar’s Prague office, was a speaker on a panel discussion on perceptions and experiences of foreign investors in Northern Moravia, at the 14th Investment and Business Forum on 2 October 2013.
As Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Czech Association for Foreign Investment, and as advisor to numerous foreign investors in the region, including Hyundai Motors, Kamil has a deep understanding of the investment environment in the Czech Republic and the Northern Moravian Region.
“I think that Northern Moravia has huge undiscovered potential,” said Blažek. “Considering the current economic situation in the region, the number of unemployed skilled workers from the engineering and manufacturing fields, the developed infrastructure and the sophisticated Czech legal system, I find this region to be one of the most interesting areas for foreign investors in Central Europe, and I believe that this conference could help uncover and present this opportunity to the business world.”
The Investment & Business Forum serves as a discussion platform between the private and public sectors on regional development strategies within the European Union, with a focus on economic development, the environment, infrastructure development, education and human resources. Among this year’s speakers were Miloš Zeman, the President of the Czech Republic, Jiří Rusnok, the Czech Prime Minister, Jiří Cienciala, the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, and Jaroslav Palas, the Governor of the Northern Moravian Region.
