Catalina Balus is a Senior Associate in the Bucharest office specialising in domestic and cross-border corporate and M&A transactions.

Catalina's experience includes advising international and domestic companies on various corporate and regulatory matters, including commercial contracts, due diligence analysis, corporate governance matters, business transfers, and the execution of corporate transactions on both the seller and buyer sides. She has successfully assisted a wide range of clients through various mergers, spin-offs and buy-outs and also provides legal advice in relation to clients’ day-to-day business activities.

• RHEINMETALL GROUP on the acquisition of a majority stake in military vehicle maker Automecanica Medias and its fully owned subsidiary Atelierele Speciale Autocamioane Medias
• ISSWorld GROUP on the divestment of its CEE portfolio and reorganisation of its business model in Romania
• STADA M&D on a business transfer agreement concluded with Walmark Romania as part of a restructuring process
• MARESI, part of VIVATIS Group, on the acquisition of a Romanian wholesaler of various household products
• DOOSAN HEAVY INDUSTRIES & CONSTRUCTION on the closing of business activities in Romania and on the sale of the IMGB platform via a share deal
• CLAAS on the acquisition of its major dealer, Serv Class
• BAUER MEDIA GROUP on the sale of its Romanian publishing business to Ringier and further advice on its exit from the Romanian market by winding-down its Romanian entities
