Miloš Velimirović is the Managing Partner of the Belgrade office. He also serves as Co-Head of the firm-wide Technology and Financial Institutions sectors, as well as Co-Head of the firm-wide Telecommunications service line.

He regularly advises companies and financial institutions on issues associated with the regulation of the financial services sector and on M&A, data protection, project financing, and other general corporate matters.

He is particularly active in investment funds regulatory matters and the fintech industry. He focuses on large-scale M&A transactions, joint ventures, and energy and project-related matters. With more than 15 years of experience in banking & finance, he participated in complex financial transactions of corporate clients, government, municipalities, and state-owned entities with a total value of over EUR 2 billion.

Miloš is also a well-versed expert in data protection regulations. He assists in compliance matters and practical implementation of GDPR, data breach management, contracts, and data transfers in various industries, including hospitality, life sciences, financial services, banking, creative industries, automotive, and aviation.

Before joining SOG Law Firm and Kinstellar afterwards, Miloš worked as the Head of the Public Finance Department, as well as a member of the Credit Committee at Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank, and the Finance Specialist at the World Bank Competitiveness and Jobs project. His combined education in law, finance, and business, as well as his background in banking, are essential in providing clients with comprehensive advice, mindful of each project's legal and commercial aspects. Moreover, his experience in public offices and position with the World Bank make him well-positioned to advise clients cooperating with public authorities and institutions.

Miloš is a member of the General Assembly of the Central Depository and Clearing House of the Republic of Serbia.

  • INCHEON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CORPORATION AND KOREA OVERSEAS INFRASTRUCTURE & URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION, in relation to the largest airport concession project ever launched in Montenegro, on the Montenegrin law aspects of the concession project initiated by the Ministry of Transport of the Government of Montenegro for a 30-year concession for the airports in Tivat and Montenegro
  • CHINA NATIONAL TECHNICAL IMPORT AND EXPORT CORPORATION (CNTIC), its subsidiary DC China, in the process of obtaining the required licenses necessary for an EPC contractor in constructing of the wind power plant with a capacity of 150MW

  • LAFARGE SERBIA, a member of the Holcim Lafarge Group, on the acquisition of 100% of shares in SPV Tribex Mining, the owner of the Jazovnik stone quarry
  • SHAMROCK CAPITAL, a Los Angeles-based investment firm, in its strategic investment in DE-YAN, a leading global experiential consultancy known for its top-tier design, integrated creative strategy and digital innovation
  • ACIBADEM HEALTHCARE GROUP, a leading provider of premium healthcare services, entered the Serbian market through the acquisition of a 70% equity stake in Opšta Bolnica Acibadem Bel Medic, a prominent private hospital in Belgrade. In a subsequent transaction, our office advised Acibadem on the acquisition of the remaining 30% shareholding in the target entity, thereby securing full ownership
