Kinstellar contributes to the Clean Energy Tool launched by Simmons & Simmons

July 2022 – Kinstellar is honoured and delighted to have contributed, as exclusive authors, to the Czech, Hungarian and Kazakhstan sections of the Clean Energy Tool launched by international law firm Simmons & Simmons.

The Clean Energy Tool provides reliable, consistent and easy-to-manage information to support investments in clean energy projects around the world. It gives investors online access to important legal and regulatory information concerning renewable energy projects. The tool is constantly expanding and already covers 44 jurisdictions. Information is developed in collaboration with premiere local counsel selected by Simmons & Simmons from across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, Australia and the Middle East.

Understanding the intricacies of local legal and regulatory environments and accessing timely and insightful data are vital for investors looking to develop clean energy projects in a rapidly evolving international context. The Clean Energy Tool is a “one-stop-shop” for concise, up-to-date, and trustworthy resources to support investment decisions in the covered jurisdictions.

The Clean Energy Tool also boasts a unique cross-jurisdiction comparison function for subscribers to browse and compare renewable energy frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.

Kinstellar’s contributions were coordinated by Kamil Blažek, Partner and co-head of the firm-wide Infrastructure & Transportation sector; Kristof Ferenczi, Managing Partner of the Budapest office and head of the firm-wide Energy & Natural Resources sector; and Joel Benjamin, Managing Partner of our Central Asian practice.

We thank Alex Blomfield and the team at Simmons & Simmons for giving us the opportunity to participate in this valuable initiative. It was an honour to take part, and we look forward to future projects together.
