April 2023 – Kinstellar is delighted to announce the launch of its comprehensive Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) screening service. As the regulatory landscape around FDI continues to evolve, Kinstellar recognises the critical importance of helping clients navigate this complex area.
Our team of cross-practice experts has deep understanding of the various regulatory frameworks governing FDI screening across different jurisdictions. We help our clients assess the potential risks and opportunities associated with foreign investment and develop strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The new service includes comprehensive FDI screening and due diligence; assistance with FDI screening filings and communicating with the relevant public authorities; advising on deal structuring and other strategic planning; negotiating the relevant provisions of acquisition documentation; negotiating mitigation requirements; and on-going support to help clients stay compliant with evolving regulations.
Having advised both EU- and non-EU-based clients on hundreds of foreign direct investment transactions in the C/SEE region across a variety of sectors, Kinstellar is uniquely positioned to provide clients with tailored advice that takes into account the specific requirements of their business.
The service team will be led by Partner Karla Rundtová and includes over 30 seasoned lawyers. Karla has 20 years of experience working on numerous major acquisitions and privatisations (share and asset deals, sales of businesses, restructurings), including the approval processes by the relevant regulatory authorities. She also advises clients on greenfield investments.
