February 2016 - On 12 February more than 50 leading bankers, real estate developers, and representatives from the relevant Ministry attended a seminar focused on Real Estate topics sponsored and organised by Kinstellar’s Budapest office. Attendees of the seminar appreciated the very practical and relevant topics covered, such as new rules of construction and VAT regulation, as well as the new state incentive of non-reimbursable housing grants and preferential loans for families purchasing homes (the CSOK program).
The event featured speakers from Kinstellar’s Budapest office, including Dr. Mónika Frank (Managing Associate/Head of Real Estate Hungary) and Dr. Gabor Gömöri (Senior Associate), as well as Dr. Tamas Knébel, from the tax advisory firm Tandax.
Following the presentations, both Dr. Frank and Dr. Gömöri led a panel discussion featuring Dr. Norbert Görög (Ministry of Human Resources), Gábor Angel (BIF), Tibor Földi (Cordia), Dr. Péter Lugosi (K&H Bank) and Zsolt Morvai (TakarékBank).
“The seminar was a fantastic opportunity to connect all of the sides – law makers, financing banks and real estate developers - effected by the new legislations. It was highly encouraging to see all sides engaged in such a cooperative spirit.” - remarked Dr Mónika Frank, the leader of Kinstellar’s Budapest Real Estate team.
“The conference provided a good opportunity for our guests with different backgrounds to exchange their views and experience for the first time since the new rules have been introduced in Hungary.” – commented Dr. Csilla Andrékó, Managing Partner of Kinstellar’s Budapest office.
