January 2026 – Kinstellar is pleased to announce that Laurenz Liedermann has joined our Vienna office as a Partner and Head of the local Banking & Finance service line. His arrival strengthens our Banking & Finance offering in Vienna, adding senior expertise that supports the continued expansion of our presence and capabilities in the Austrian market.
Laurenz’s practice spans the full range of banking and finance matters, with particular emphasis on acquisition finance, corporate lending, real estate finance, portfolio transactions and restructuring. Alongside his transactional work, he is well-known for his expertise in legal-tech and digital workflow solutions, which he applies to improve transparency, reduce risk and optimise the execution of complex mandates.
Before joining Kinstellar, Laurenz was a partner at a prominent Austrian law firm and was seconded to an international law firm in Frankfurt am Main. Following his diploma studies, he completed his doctorate with distinction at the University of Vienna on the topic of gifts and donations. He later pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford (Merton College), focusing on contract law, corporate finance, and trusts.
Laurenz is consistently recognised by international legal directories as a leading practitioner in his field. Clients describe him as ‘‘very responsible, responsive and smart lawyer who has helped us with many aspects of this field’’, further adding that ‘‘he is very knowledgeable, has a really good legal background, is very responsive and always offers very concise advice.’’ (Chambers Europe, 2025)
We are delighted to welcome Laurenz to the firm. His joining represents a significant step in the continued development of our Vienna office. His strong reputation, deep transactional experience, and international outlook will add considerable strength to our Austrian Banking & Finance practice and enhance the quality of service we provide to clients across the CEE region.
