Kinstellar announces new Partner promotions

April 2025 – Kinstellar is delighted to announce the promotion to Partner of Magdalena Raducanu (Romania), Jan Lehký (Czech Republic), and Kuanysh Shekerbekov (Kazakhstan).

Magdalena Raducanu
is based in our Bucharest office and leads the Romanian Banking & Finance Service Line. She also serves as the co-head of the firm-wide Banking & Finance Service Line. Magdalena has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of banking and financing, including project, real estate, and corporate finance as well as financial regulatory matters. Recently, she has dedicated significant efforts assisting banks on various ESG-related mandates.

Magdalena joined Kinstellar in 2021 from the Bucharest office of Dentons. Since joining the local banking practice, Magdalena has advised or coordinated banking mandates totalling EUR 4 billion.

Leading international legal directories rank Magdalena as a leading lawyer for Banking & Finance in Romania, with clients praising her for having ‘‘excellent knowledge in the field of banking law, offering the right solutions for situations with a high level of complexity’’, with others emphasising that ‘‘she is technically brilliant, with a clear understanding of the legal issues, but also cognisant of the broader commercial picture’’.

Jan Lehký is based in our Prague office and also serves as the Co-Head of the firm-wide Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) service line.

With more than 15 years of experience, Jan focuses on a range of ESG and regulatory issues with a focus on helping investors with ESG and governance strategies, including navigating ESG transparency, ESG disclosures and reporting, environmental regulation, circular economy issues, ESG litigation risk, and ESG-related obligations and risk assessments. His expertise also includes structuring real estate transactions, such as acquisitions of real estate portfolios, construction law, and the permitting process during various stages of development, as well as advising on high-value, long-term lease agreements, title insurance, litigation, and general commercial and contract law.

Jan has also advised on major infrastructure projects, including those organised as public-private partnerships—particularly the construction of highways—as well as large-scale private infrastructure, energy projects (including nuclear units), and major industrial facilities.

Jan joined Kinstellar in 2014 as an Associate, he was promoted to Counsel in 2020.

Kuanysh Shekerbekov
is based in our Almaty and Astana offices. He focuses on corporate / M&A and capital markets transactions and has more than a decade of experience. Kuanysh has advised both international and domestic clients on a wide range of cross-border capital markets deals, including IPOs, liability management exercises, and bond issuances. His sector focus includes banking, fintech, oil & gas, mining, energy, and telecommunications, and he has played a key role in the success of numerous projects in Kazakhstan.

Serving as the primary client contact for Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC)-related matters, Kuanysh has effectively managed diverse projects within this jurisdiction, showcasing his commitment to driving legal innovation within the hub. His recent admission as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales further strengthens his ability to navigate AIFC matters, given the close alignment between AIFC law and English law.

Kuanysh joined Kinstellar upon our establishment in Almaty in 2013 and was appointed Counsel in 2024.

Kuanysh is consistently ranked by international legal directories, with clients describing him as ‘‘an adaptable, engaged professional who is extremely comfortable to work with’’ and ‘‘dedicated to finding solutions for clients that involve the highest level of legal acumen’’.

I warmly congratulate our new Partners on this well-deserved achievement. Their dedication, hard work, strong client focus, depth of experience, and approach to business development have earned them recognition both within our team and among our clients and peers.  I am confident that they will continue to thrive in their new roles and make meaningful contributions to our clients and the Firm going forward.
Kristóf Ferenczi, Kinstellar’s Firm Managing Partner
